HELP US CELEBRATE 30 YEARS WITH THE COLORADO RESTAURANT FOUNDATION!

This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Colorado Restaurant Foundation. The CRF runs our ProStart program teaching management and culinary skills to high school students, and is in 32 high schools throughout the state with nearly 950 students. We are so proud of the level of industry participation in our Foundation. Restaurateurs are constantly acting as mentors, classroom consultants, judges, and supporters of all our programs. That is what sets us apart from many other charities. Help us celebrate 30 years of Feeding Dreams – as we gather May 10 at the new Larimer Social space in Larimer Square to celebrate. Find out more here.

CRA MEMBERS TAKE ON WASHINGTON DC

A team of CRA members recently returned from Washington DC where we joined with hundreds of other restaurant owners for the annual Public Affairs Conference held by the National Restaurant Association. Among the topics we covered included:

- Immigration Reform;
- Maintaining lower swipe fees for debit card transactions;
- The Right to Cure on ADA Violations;
- Health Care Matters such as defining full time as 40-hours and eliminating burdensome reporting requirements;
- And also reworking the tax structure for restaurants.

+ In an effort to move forward on Federal legislation to provide a Right to Cure on ADA Violations, we are collecting personal accounts of members who have been impacted by these types of lawsuits. We are requesting this information for anecdotes only and your name will not be used. To share your confidential story please contact Nick Hoover.

+ To learn more about the debit card effort, check out the NRA Website.
