The Colorado Restaurant Foundation is proud to offer a certified apprenticeship program launched through a partnership with the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation to help Colorado restaurants and hotels expand their teams and retain valuable employees.
Registered restaurant apprenticeship offers skills-based, earn-while-you-learn training that’s free to both participants and employers, and is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. The program provides employment and training for Certified Line Cook, Certified Restaurant Manager, and Certified Kitchen Manager apprenticeships for candidates who are at least 17 years old.
Employers
Restaurant operators can onboard new employees or designate incumbent employees as apprentices. Apprenticeship helps operators develop talent, increase retention, and build leadership from within. The nationwide retention rate for apprentices is 80%!
The Colorado Restaurant Foundation partners with more than 100 restaurant locations to offer apprenticeship opportunities throughout the state. Here’s a complete list of current Apprenticeship employers.
Colorado operators, please complete the form below to let us know you want to learn more about how to become an approved training facility for apprentices. Those who submit the form are also first in line for future funding to support apprenticeship at your business.
