Colorado is proud to be one of the few states selected to implement certified apprenticeship programs launched through a partnership with the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation. These workforce development programs will help Colorado restaurants and hotels expand their teams at a crucial time in the industry’s history.
Restaurant Youth Registered Apprenticeship
Colorado is one of only four states currently offering the Restaurant Youth Registered Apprenticeship (RYRA) program, which provides employment and training for Certified Line Cook, Certified Restaurant Manager, and Certified Kitchen Manager apprenticeships for candidates 17 to 24 years old.
For more information on how the RYRA program can benefit you, choose the right option below:
Would you like to hire a RYRA apprentice to fill out your team, or designate a current employee to become an apprentice? We are actively recruiting restaurants and other foodservice businesses around the state to become RYRA employers.
The Restaurant Youth Registered Apprenticeship (RYRA) is 100% funded through a $4,999,478.00 grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (AP-35087-20-60-A-11). Hospitality Sector Registered Apprenticeship (HSRA)
The Hospitality Sector Registered Apprenticeship (HSRA) is the industry’s first-ever earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship program, and is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor. The HSRA aims to create career opportunities for the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality workforce for people over 24 years old.
